Hannah Shaffer Bradburn is an Associate Attorney at Smith Butz, LLC, who concentrates her practice in the areas of Zoning and Land Use Law, Municipal Law, Energy Law, and Commercial Litigation.
Hannah was admitted to practice law in 2016 and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Hannah is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she served as the Senior Topics Editor for the Pittsburgh Journal of Environmental & Public Health Law. During her time in law school, Hannah also served as a Teaching Assistant for First Year Legal Analysis & Writing Classes. Hannah was a Dean’s Scholarship recipient, and was awarded the Dick Thornburgh Prize for Legal Service and the Community Service Award. Hannah also represented the law school in recruitment activities as a Pitt Law Ambassador. Hannah was a Certified Legal Intern at the Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender and a law clerk for a small Pittsburgh employee rights law firm. Upon graduation, Hannah was elected to the Order of Barristers.
Prior to joining Smith Butz, LLC, Hannah clerked for the Honorable Scott P. Bittner of the Somerset County Court of Common Pleas and served as a Litigation Associate Attorney at a small Pittsburgh law firm.
Prior to attending law school, Hannah attended Dickinson College where she graduated with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Law & Policy. Hannah competed on Dickinson’s Mock Trial team and attended the American Mock Trial Association’s National Championship Tournament. Hannah also studied abroad at the Dickinson Center at the University of Bologna and the Washington Center program.
